About The Church of Pentecost, Florida District

The Florida District of The Church of Pentecost is a branch of The Church of Pentecost USA, Inc headquartered in Bronx New York which is also part of The Church of Pentecost International, an international, mission oriented, full-gospel, Holy Spirit-filled church which has its general headquarters in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. The church was established in 1937 by Rev. James McKeown, an English missionary. Presently, The Church of Pentecost International is active in over 60 countries across all continents with over 1.5 million members and over 12 013 Assemblies (Local Churches) worldwide. Read more

The Church in Florida is a registered federal and state religious non-profit organization carrying the gospel to all parts of the world and to Floridians in particular. Currently, the Florida District comprises of Four (4) established branches, two in Tampa, one in Jacksonville and one in Orlando and two mission projects underway in Gainesville and West Palm Beach.

The Church's primary aim and objective is to obey the great commission instructed by our Lord Jesus Christ in Mark 16:15-16: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned”

The Church’s statement of faith is based on ten biblical doctrinarian themes espousing the power and sovereignty of Jesus Christ, teaching our members to live in holiness at all times, eschewing sin thereby ensuring the continual presence and reign of the power of the Holy Spirit in the church, thus bringing liberty and deliverance to all who flee into it.

>>LEADERSHIP
Rev. Joseph Adarkwa-Aduasah serves as the District Pastor overseeing all the churches in Florida. He is ably assisted by an executive team drawn from the various branches in the district. At the local level, there are Presiding Elders who have administrative responsibilities over their respective assemblies (local churches) in the absence of the District Pastor.
